DESCRIPTION:Dr. Larry Rivers will give a program called “Martin Luther King\, Jr. and the Crown Jewel Victories of the Civil Rights Movement” on Monday\, January 28th\, at 6:30pm at the Neva Lomason Library.    This will be a presentation/discussion of the l964 Civil Rights Act and 1965 Voting Rights Act. He will touch on other legislation that came out of Dr. King's work.    Dr. Rivers teaches African American Religion and Civil Rights Movement in the United States at University of West Georgia.
